Our client, a leading manufacturing business operating in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors, is looking for a proactive professional to review, refine, and optimise their purchasing strategy.The role:You'll take ownership of procurement across both the direct and indirect categories. Think raw materials, components and utilities - driving cost-saving initiatives and ensuring a robust, dual-sourced supply chain.Duties include:

Reviewing current processes and identifying improvements
Supplier profiling - assessing and onboarding the best partners
Negotiating smarter deals to cut costs without compromising quality
Exploring dual sourcing to de-risk supply chains
Collaborating with stakeholders to align procurement with business goals

The person:

Manufacturing sector experience (automotive, aerospace, industrial preferred)
A hands-on, strategic thinker who's not afraid to get stuck in
Strong negotiation skills with a cost-conscious mindset
Proven ability to improve procurement processes and drive efficiencies
CIPS Qualification or similar would be advantageous but not essential
