Your new companyYou will be joining an industry-leading contractor operating in the highways sector, based in Wolverhampton. This organisation has a strong project pipeline and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their team.Your new roleAs a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Monitoring project costs against budgets
  • Assisting with accurate valuations and submissions of applications for payments
  • Resolving differences on accounts and escalating where necessary
  • Assessing and validating subcontract invoices/applications for payments
  • Following up on due payments.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will have:

  • Degree/HNC in Quantity Surveying (or similar)
  • 1+ years' experience quantity surveying in the Civil Engineering industry, utilising NEC3/4 contracts
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Sound communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
