Job Title: Finance Assistant 

We are looking for an Experienced Finance Assistant required for a construction company in the Wolverhampton area.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant with knowledge of month end processes and payroll. You will need to have a can-do attitude and have strong transactional experience. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our small finance team.

The ideal candidate will support our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

It would be advantageous to have experience within a construction background.

Location: Wolverhampton, 5 mins from City Centre WV1 – Free parking, and great public transport links.

Salary: £25-27k.  

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 8-5pm. This is a temporary to permanent position, 40 hours a week there is an onsite canteen.

Fully onsite role in a lovely spacious new office building. 

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Involvement in Month end processes, you will be using XERO and Excel and must be able to be produced reports and analyse data. 
  • You are required to manage a Mailbox, ensuring all emails are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Analysis of Management reports and prepare reports weekly for the director to reviewed.
  • Experience in Payroll, 150+ staff monthly.
  • Profit and Loss, balance sheets and working closely with the Finance team to dela with various transactional requirements.
  • Any other ad hoc requirements to meet the business needs.

Ideally, You Will:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Qualified by experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient on XERO and Excel is essential for this role!!!!!
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Share point.
