Flourish Education is recruiting an English Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated GOOD secondary school in Wolverhampton after Easter, continuing until the summer term. Our client is known for their high academic standards, inclusive environment, and strong focus on student development. With a supportive English department and excellent resources, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Secondary Teacher passionate about English literature and language.

The Role:

As an English Teacher at this secondary school, you will:

  • Teach English across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), following the National Curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that develop students' literacy, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback to support progress.
  • Create a positive learning environment with strong behaviour management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the English department to enhance student engagement and achievement.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting, with strong subject knowledge.
  • Ability to deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Excellent behaviour management and classroom leadership skills.
  • A commitment to student progress and a passion for English literature and language.

Working as an English Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you:

  • £160 - £225 per day, equating to £31,200 - £43,875 per annum (based on full-time work).
  • The option of PAYE or Umbrella pay.
  • Holiday Pay – for PAYE candidates, this is accrued at 12.07% of your day rate.
