Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 3 at a primary school in Wolverhampton. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child in Year 3, adapting learning materials to meet their needs.

  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the child is engaged and making progress.

  • Support the child's social and emotional development, encouraging positive interactions with peers.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and review individual support plans.

  • Provide feedback on the child's progress to teachers and parents.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting.

  • Previous experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable.

  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting learning.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
