The successful candidates will be committed to helping every child succeed, and will be excited to work with a group of pupils who are eager to learn, curious, and motivated to engage with new ideas. We are managing these vacancies through Claire Cochrane at Hays Education.Our Pupils: Our students are at the heart of everything we do. The children in our school range from early years through to upper primary, with varied academic needs, learning styles, and interests. Many of our students are enthusiastic learners, some benefiting from additional support due to specific learning needs, and others requiring extension and challenge to excel further.We take pride in creating an environment where all pupils feel safe, valued, and respected. Teachers and Teaching Assistants work closely together to foster a positive atmosphere of mutual respect, while also encouraging pupils to develop self-confidence, independence, and resilience in their learning.Our pupils are encouraged to take an active role in their learning, express their ideas, and embrace challenges. As part of a collaborative team, you will play a crucial role in nurturing this growth, helping children to develop not only academically but also socially and emotionally.Roles Available:

  • Teachers: Delivering high-quality lessons, supporting individual progress, and tailoring the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our pupils. You will work to foster curiosity, instil a love for learning, and help students develop important skills for their future.
  • Teaching Assistants: Providing valuable support in the classroom, working directly with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, and assisting teachers to implement strategies that support the learning of all children, including those with special educational needs or those requiring additional challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons (Teachers only).
  • Adapt lessons and activities to meet the individual learning needs of students, ensuring all children have access to the curriculum.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement tailored support for pupils with additional needs.
  • Provide positive, targeted support to students who need additional help, ensuring they can engage with learning at their own pace.
  • Support students with social and emotional development, promoting resilience and positive behaviour.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that promotes learning for all students.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, encouraging self-belief, motivation, and academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development and well-being.

Ideal Candidates will:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children, particularly those with a range of abilities and needs.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues alike.
  • Be adaptable, creative, and enthusiastic in the classroom.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to motivate children to achieve their best.
  • For Teacher positions: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent and have experience working with diverse learners.
  • For Teaching Assistant positions: Experience working with children in a similar role is desirable, as well as relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification), though we welcome applications from individuals willing to train and develop their skills.
