Job Role: Field Service Engineer
Days: Mon to Fri
Hourly Rate: 14ph - 16ph
Location: Based in Wolverhampton, travel Nationwide


Wright Staff Recruitment are currently representing a well established Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer. My client is currently looking for a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for field base repairs on all equipment, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical. They will report directly to the Service and Parts Manager, covering England, Wales and occasionally Scotland.


Job Specification

  • Service and repair of client equipment, skips, hooks, cct and Fel.
  • Site visits around the country dictated by customer demands.
  • Provide on-site and office based technical advice and assistance to customers.
  • To keep and maintain all service records and relevant paperwork associated with the repair.
  • To ensure all breakdowns are completed in a timely manner and customers are updated with repair status.
  • To highlight any failure trends and pass on all relevant information.
  • To help keep and maintain stock levels on the vans.
  • To comply with company engineering polices at all times.


Key skills required

  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised as part of a regional team.
  • A confidant and polite manner when dealing with both customers and service providers.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Fault finding and problem solving.
  • Full driving licence from UK.
  • Self-motivation and reliable.
  • Willing to be able to travel often at short notice within the UK.
