Our client operates a 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Wolverhampton, dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children in need. Job Description: Our client is currently seeking passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as Children's Residential Support Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for providing round-the-clock care and support to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children in residential care.
- Implement care plans and support strategies tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Promote positive behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- Engage children in a range of activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support children in daily tasks such as meal times, personal hygiene, and homework.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the care and progress of children.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, external agencies, and families to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a rota pattern of 2 days on, 4 days off, including sleep-in shifts.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children.
- Full UK Driving License
