Family Support Worker

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in need.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing support to children, young people, adoptive families, and birth families.
  • Working directly with children, young people, and their families to promote their potential and develop strong and stable family relationships.
  • Undertaking life story work and compiling Life Story Books to prepare children for adoption and transition.
  • Planning, supervising, and assessing post-adoption contact between adopted children and their birth parents or extended family.
  • Facilitating, delivering, and evaluating specialist group work, support groups, and training.
  • Working in partnership with other agencies involved in family support and early intervention.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of interventions with children and families.

What we're looking for:

  • A compassionate, dedicated, and resilient individual with a strong commitment to supporting children and families.
  • Experience working with children, young people, and families in a supportive or therapeutic setting.
  • Knowledge of child development, attachment theory, and trauma-informed practise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
