Our client, a leading organisation in the Children & Young People industry, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Strengthening Families Worker to join their team on a temporary basis.As a Strengthening Families Worker, you will have the opportunity to directly support children, young people, and their families, promoting their development and preventing significant harm. You will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and external partners, ensuring that the needs of children and their parents/carers are assessed and addressed effectively.Key Responsibilities:Plan, supervise, and facilitate individual and group work with children and families.Undertake assessments of need and create support plans in collaboration with families and professionals.Work in various settings, including outreach areas and families' homes.Monitor and evaluate the progress made by children and families towards agreed outcomes.Collaborate with other agencies involved in family support and early intervention.Deliver and evaluate specialist group work programmes.Maintain accurate records and provide written reports, including court statements if required.Attend relevant meetings and actively contribute to discussions.Promote and support parents/carers in taking responsibility for meeting the needs of their family.Work in a non-discriminatory and culturally sensitive manner.Stay updated on current professional conduct and practise.Requirements:NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in Education, Health or Social Care, Community Development, or Diploma in Youth & Community Work.Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in a relevant field.Experience in supporting children and families in groups and individually.Strong knowledge of child development and parenting.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to effectively implement support plans and evaluate outcomes.Motivated, flexible, and supportive to the needs of children and families.Commitment to continuing professional development.Join our client's dedicated team and contribute to the well-being and success of children and families in our community.
