As a Family Group Decision Maker/Mediation Facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and their families. By working directly with families, you will help them identify and utilise their network of support through family meetings that you will facilitate.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Conducting Family Group Decision Making and Mediation with families to prevent family breakdown.
  • Adopting a whole family approach to support children, young people, and their families on the edge of care and Family Help.
  • Managing a caseload of complex cases and embracing a flexible and creative approach.
  • Working closely with children, young people, and their families to enhance their potential and promote safe living conditions.
  • Contributing to multi-agency assessments of children and families in need of assistance.
  • Utilising our case management system for efficient recording and reporting.
  • Travelling to different families across Wolverhampton.

What do you need?

  • NVQ level 3 or an equivalent qualification in social care/health-related subject.
  • English and Maths or equivalent to level 2 of the National Qualification Framework.
  • Demonstrable experience working with children and families in a health or social care setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct work experience with children, young people, and families.
