Do you thrive in a hands-on, customer-focused environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for an On-Site Test Rig Engineer to join the dedicated team at their customer site in Wolverhampton.Your Role as an On-Site Test Rig Engineer As an On-Site Test Rig Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring precision and compliance by calibrating measuring instrumentation within our Customer Production Test Rigs areas. Your work will be carried out in accordance with company procedures, recognised specifications, and strict industry standards. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of work, data, and results, ensuring all activities are traceable and auditable using advanced management systems.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform calibration of customer equipment using approved procedures and industry best practices.
  • Work with a variety of measuring instrumentation, including electrical, temperature, load, force, flow, and pressure devices.
  • Ensure all certificates and records are accurately completed, checking deadlines and worksheet instructions to maintain timely completion of work.
  • Participate in customer surveillance and accreditation audits.
  • Develop and audit calibration procedures for the customer laboratory.
  • Assist in developing measurement uncertainty budgets for customer calibrations.
  • Occasionally, undertake additional tasks within your skillset and receive training where necessary.
What We’re Looking For: The  ideal candidate will have:
  • An electrical diagnostic background with strong analytical skills.
  • A formal qualification in engineering or extensive hands-on experience in calibration, both practical and theoretical.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical principles.
  • Experience in Jig/Tool recertification (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong reporting and communication skills.
  • A thorough understanding of calibration principles and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
