Job Overview:
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic school community in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they receive the personalized assistance necessary for their academic and emotional success.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans that address each student's specific requirements.
  • Help cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate closely with SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) and other staff to develop and implement personalized learning goals and interventions.
  • Monitor student progress and behavior, offering feedback to teachers and caregivers as necessary.
  • Support the use of sensory integration and therapeutic techniques when needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with SEN, ideally in an educational environment.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs in their academic and social development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and caregivers.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing challenging situations.
  • DBS registered on the Update Service.
