SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:Wolverhampton

Education Personnel are working with an independent special school in Wolverhampton who work with students with varying needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to;

  • Providing individual and small group support:Assisting pupils with learning activities, providing one-to-one support, and implementing differentiated learning plans.
  • Creating and maintaining a supportive learning environment:Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils.
  • Communicating effectively:Maintaining regular communication with teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals regarding pupil progress and well-being.
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs:Implementing strategies to support pupils' social and emotional development and manage challenging behaviour.
  • Assisting with practical tasks:Supporting pupils with personal care needs, preparing learning materials, and maintaining classroom resources.
  • Contributing to the wider school community:Participating in school events and activities and contributing to the overall well-being of the school.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
