A thriving special school in Wolverhampton, which is an exclusive partner school, is seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and committed SEN Teacher to join their team on a temporary, full-time basis from January 2025.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and rewarding environment, providing high-quality education to pupils with diverse needs. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the possibility of extension based on performance and school requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with special educational needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, setting achievable targets in line with their individual education plans (IEPs).
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure all students receive the support they need to thrive.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupils' holistic development.
- Uphold the school's ethos and policies, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will be a hardworking, passionate, and resilient teacher with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
- Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, teaching methods, and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and classroom management.
