As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Assembly and Test Engineer to join our team on an initial 9-month fixed-term contract.

Job Overview:
The Assembly and Test Engineer will be responsible for the accurate assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems including valves, manifolds, and gearboxes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with these components in a production or maintenance environment and will ensure that all equipment and systems meet the highest quality standards before being dispatched to customers.

Key Responsibilities of the Assembly and Test Engineer

  • Assemble mechanical systems including valves, manifolds, and gearboxes according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Perform functional and pressure tests on assembled systems to ensure operational integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective or malfunctioning components and systems.
  • Work closely with the engineering and quality control teams to identify and resolve assembly issues.
  • Ensure all assembly and test procedures comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of test results, equipment performance, and any issues encountered.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of test equipment and tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications and Experience of the Assembly and Test Engineer

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as an Assembly and Test Technician, specifically with valves, manifolds, and gearboxes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Experience with functional and pressure testing of mechanical systems.
  • Good understanding of quality standards and attention to detail in ensuring product integrity.
  • Knowledge of basic troubleshooting techniques and the ability to use diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced production environment.
