An amazing opportunity has become available to join our client, a well- established business for a procurement and planning co-ordinator. The successful person will be IT literate with experience of purchasing / procurement within an HGV environment.


What’s on offer:

  • £30,000 - £35,000 including shift allowance for Sat work
  • Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and source reputable suppliers and vendors for HGV truck parts and accessories.
  • Negotiate and maintain favourable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Collaborate with Workshop to monitor inventory levels and demands.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes together with supplier agreements.
  • Maintain Vehicle Status and Availability records.
  • Forecast parts usage and sales trends to process informed and timely orders.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all parts, testing and inspecting, as necessary.
  • Co-ordinate and manage all Service Planning and MOTs for all vehicles.

Person specification: 

  • IT literate.
  • Experience of purchasing within an HGV environment.
  • Excellent organisation skills are essential.
  • If candidates have a HGV licence that would be advantageous but not essential.
