Job Title: Technical Copywriter Location: Remote Start Date: ASAP End Date: 1 monthHours per Week: 37 Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Purpose of the Role:
The Technical Copywriter is responsible for creating clear, concise, and engaging content that effectively communicates technical concepts to various audiences. This role involves writing and modifying technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, readability, and brand consistency. You will play a vital role in ensuring the documentation is correctly uploaded into our new enterprise resource planning software, ready for its launch in Autumn 2025.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background combined with excellent writing and storytelling skills. The role requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Copywriting:
- Write captivating and high-quality technical content appropriate for the audience.
- Adapt technical jargon into language appropriate for the audience.
- Maintain consistency in terminology, tone, and style.
- Ensure compliance with Brand Guidelines, and agreed document format and structure.
- Ensure all content is clear and concise.
- Ensure all content is free of grammatical and spelling errors.
Digital Storage:
- Manage the digital storage of content in line with the defined hierarchical file structure.
- Maintain and update the databases, ensuring all records are accurate.
Data Analysis:
- Track key metrics and compile data into actionable reports and presentations.
Collaboration and Project Management:
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop content that aligns with business goals.
- Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with other internal teams to test the implementation of the new enterprise resource planning software.
Skills / Experience:
- Analysis and Problem Solving: Quickly understands and analyses complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments to ensure the right decision is reached.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and office management software.
- Familiarity with Monday.com, CorelDRAW 2017, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Understanding of technical concepts, software, engineering, or IT-related fields.
