Project Engineer - New Product Development

Opportunity for a contract Project Engineer / Lead Project Engineer to work with a global design, development & manufacturing organisation supporting a key, high profile development project.

As Project Engineer, you will have responsibility for supporting a key project through the complete development lifecycle from design through to the development and testing of the product to delivery. This is a real chance to influence a key business critical programme. 

Your key accountabilities as Project Engineer will include:

  • Devising and maintaining detailed plans for the engineering activities on a key complex electro-mechanical development project.
  • Project engineering of your products, identifying risk, managing cost through to planning and project execution
  • Supporting product qualification testing phase of the project
  • On time, cost effective project planning
  • Working internally with the Development team and co-ordinating with external customer.

To succeed in this varied, key role you will need to be a qualified Engineer (degree or with relevant industry experience) in an engineering or closely related discipline

  • Have proven project Engineering experience
  • Experience with complex products across complex electro-mechanical products spanning electrical/electronic, hardware, software and mechanical disciplines
  • The ability to step up and undertake a more lead role on projects or have already worked at this level
  • In return you will be rewarded with working in a key, technical Project Engineering role on a high-profile project.
