Tennial Personnel are seeking a Permanent CNC Milling Machinist to work for our employee owned company, who are a world leading UK manufacturer of high specification alloy castings supporting global customers with an end-to end single service solution.
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join their dynamic team.
Job Summary: The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce complex and precise components according to specifications. This role requires a high level of technical expertise. You will have an opportunity to train on the 5 Axis Machine.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Interpret sketches, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining operations, sequences, and dimensions.
Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, and feeds for each job to optimize efficiency and quality.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and ensure that machines are in good working order.
Conduct quality inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications.
Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to improve machining processes and production efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining preferred not essential.
Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
Experience with CNC programming and troubleshooting is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
