We currently have the pleasure of hiring on behalf of our well-established client in Earl Soham, who are expanding their team and looking for a versatile Machine Assistant to join their growing business.

Our client is a leading distributor of garment decoration services, specializing in screen printing and embroidery. As one of the largest distributors in Europe, they take pride in delivering high-quality products to their customers.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Machine Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting production by stepping in to cover duties when other operators need to leave their machines for tasks such as collecting threads or managing other responsibilities. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the operation of embroidery and printing machines
  • Monitoring machines to ensure designs are being produced correctly
  • Preparing garments for printing or embroidery
  • Supporting team members by maintaining workflow efficiency
  • Assisting with general production duties as required

This role is ideal for someone looking to train and build a career in the garment decoration industry. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for college leavers or graduates aged 18+ who are eager to develop their skills.

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility required for business needs, including occasional early starts or late finishes)
  • Pay rate: £8.60 - £11.44 per hour (depending on age)

Requirements:

  • Own transport is essential due to the location or to live locally
  • Previous experience in a production or machine-based role is beneficial but not essential
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the sector
