Job Title: Transport Coordinator (Sizewell C)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to manage and coordinate the logistics and deliveries of several third-party haulage companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling deliveries, managing third-party drivers, and serving as the main point of contact between our client and their supply chain. This role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and Coordinate Third-Party Haulage Operators supplying Sizewell C.
- Liaise with multiple third-party operators to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of bulk aggregates on a daily basis.
- Ensure absolute compliance with company standards and client requirements.

-Manage Third-Party Vehicles and Drivers:
- Oversee the allocation and utilisation of third-party wagons and drivers.
- Ensure all drivers meet safety and regulatory standards.

- Daily Delivery Schedule:
- Create and manage a daily delivery schedule, booking slots and coordinating delivery times.
- Monitor the progress of deliveries and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.

- Collate Driver Paperwork and Proof of Delivery (PODs):
- Collect and verify all driver paperwork and PODs for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and shipments.

- Main Point of Contact:
- Serve as the primary contact between the client and haulage companies.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the transportation process.
- Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their deliveries.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in transport coordination or a similar logistics role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work remotely and independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work Environment:
- Office-based role based within our clients site office (Sizewell C).

Contract:
  • Temporary contract, 2/3 months, 40 hours per week.
