We have a new permanent position for one of the areas leading manufacturers. As part of ongoing growth, we are looking to hire a skilled and motivated Production Planner to join their dynamic team.

With a starting salary of 38,000+ (negotiable subject to experience), as well as an increasing holiday entitlement, birthdays off & life insurance policy. This is an opportunity to join a company who invest in their staff & offer a structure of support & progression.

As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring that targets are met without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and maintain detailed schedules, daily, weekly & monthly
  • Coordinate with warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with the team to identify any potential shortages or excesses
  • Analyze performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards throughout
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on status, including any delays or challenges

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in production planning (preferably within the food manufacturing industry)
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in using planning software or ERP systems
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments
