REED Ipswich Business Support are recruiting for a full time Warehouse Operative to support our client on a Permanent basis, starting ASAP.

One of the UK’s leading stockists of fine and rare wine, is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring our customers enjoy access to our vast wine selection and receive their orders promptly and in perfect condition. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining high standards, we want to hear from you.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Receipting stock using in-house systems, picking and packing orders, and carrying out general warehousing duties.
  • Photographing stock, booking courier dispatch, and occasionally driving for deliveries across various regions including London and the South of England.
  • Ensuring wine is stored accurately and safely, and all orders are fulfilled on time.
  • Lifting goods manually and using manual equipment.
  • Rotating between three key roles: checking deliveries, photographing stock, and preparing stock for courier delivery.
  • Covering for our delivery driver as needed, which may include routes as far west as Melksham, as far north as Derby, or in central London.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Full clean driving licence and a clean DBS criminal record check.
  • Experience with counterbalance forklift use is an advantage, though training will be provided.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Numerate and literate with excellent communication skills.
  • Well-organised, flexible, and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Positive work attitude, reliable, and conscientious.
  • Ability to manually handle items weighing up to 20kg and occasionally heavier.
