Agricultural Engineer (Mechanical / Plant)

Shropshire

£40,000 to £44,000 Base Salary + Overtime (1.4x) + 3% Company Pension + Life Assurance (3x Salary) + Training and Development + Seasonal Call Out Rota

Monday to Friday 47.5 Hours per Week 08:00 to 18:00

Agricultural Engineer required for a family run business who are leaders in the fresh produce industry. This is a great opportunity to join a company who partner with most of the major food retailers and can offer additional earnings and opportunities to progress to a team leader position.

To apply for this role, you will need experience working with agricultural machines or similar, which will involve working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Reporting into the Workshop Manager, the successful Agricultural Engineer will work as part of a team to provide servicing, maintenance and repairs to a variety of vehicles, plant and machinery.

During the company’s peak season (May to October), overtime is frequently available. During this time, you will also work in rotation with the other engineers to provide callout cover over the weekends.

The Agricultural Engineer Role:

· Routine maintenance work – including changing fluids, lubricating parts etc.

· Inspect, remove and replace machinery

· Support the development of new and existing machinery

· Support the machining of new parts for machinery

· Ensure all relevant documentation completely correctly

· Adhere to H&S regulations

 

The Agricultural Engineer Candidate:

· Experience working on agricultural machinery or similar

· Hydraulic and pneumatic experience

· Diagnostic and repair experience

· Work independently and as part of a team
