Job Title: Teaching AssistantLocation: Woodford, IG8 | Pay: £90 - £100 per day | Contract: Temp to Perm | Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Woodford. This is a great opportunity to support pupils' learning and personal growth in a friendly and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver interactive lessons.
- Provide focused support to individual pupils and small groups, helping them achieve their academic targets.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Help prepare teaching materials and ensure the classroom is organised and ready for each lesson.
- Supervise pupils during lessons, playtime, and school outings, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Offer tailored support to children with special educational needs (SEN), adapting activities to meet their individual requirements.
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and carers to ensure consistent support for each pupil.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a primary school setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's development.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
