Mechanical Site Manager to be based on a fabulous project.

Company Overview:

We are partnering with a successful London-based building main contractor. Known for their specialisation in the luxury residential market, they work on both new build and refurbishment schemes, as well as large hotel and commercial developments. With a growing turnover and a solid order book, they offer secure employment and long-term career opportunities. They are actively reruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager.

  • Currently at the internal phase

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subcontractor Management: The Mechanical Site Manager will manage and administer specialist subcontractors on site.
  • Site Coordination: Supervise, coordinate, and plan mechanical works on site.
  • Design Review: Review contractor design elements related to mechanical systems.
  • Project Delivery: The Mechanical Site Manager will ensure project deliverables are achieved concerning safety, quality, programme, and cost.
  • System Installation: Oversee the installation of AC and ventilation systems.
  • Commissioning and Handover: Manage the commissioning process and ensure a smooth handover.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all works comply with health and safety procedures.
  • Client Interaction: The Mechanical Site Manager will manage meetings and liaise with clients and their representatives.

Ideal Mechanical Site Manager's Profile:

  • Experience: Strong mechanical bias with an in-depth understanding of the project cycle from first fix.
  • Background: Experience in main or subcontracting roles within the construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent understanding of AC and ventilation systems.
  • Management Skills: Strong management and communication skills.
  • Competence: Commercially and technically competent.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong appreciation for health and safety, procedures, and programme adherence.
  • Client Relations: Comfortable managing meetings and dealing with clients and their representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in site management or project management (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS) are desirable.
