I am looking for a Finance Assistant to join my client on a temporary start and if successful will be offered a permanent position, this role is integral to managing and overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions and records.
Day-to-day of the role:-
Accurately input financial transactions into the accounting system (Sage 200).

Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records.

Reconcile bank statements and control accounts monthly.

Review and manage expenditure and payroll functions.

Provide financial information for decision-making and support financial returns.

Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for stakeholders.

Generate financial reports for the Finance Manager and senior leadership.

Support budget holders with financial queries and reporting.

Monitor budget adherence and update on financial performance.

Assist in budget preparation with the Finance Manager.

Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring timely transactions and accurate filing.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, monitoring outstanding payments and receipts.

Process invoices with correct coding and authorisation
- High levels of literacy and numeracy.
- Experience with financial data management and reporting.
- Proficiency in using Sage 200 or similar accounting software.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
