Our client, based in Lincoln, is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Management Accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen: they will be instrumental in the development, planning and implementation of accounting controls and processes as well as developing and delivering relevant management information, and will also lead the Finance Team.  

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible start/finish times.

Location: Office Based in Lincoln (TBC)

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet)
  • Manage statutory accounts and audit process
  • Process UK VAT returns and oversee EU VAT submissions
  • Supervise payroll and accounts payable
  • Oversee cash flow reporting and forecasting to include budgetary guidelines
  • Streamline accounting systems and processes
  • Manage and participate in ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

Specific Skills and Personal Qualities

  • A qualified (ideally CIMA) individual with at least 4-5 years post qualification experience in an accounting function management position who would be able to quickly take on the day to day running of the Finance operation
  • An effective and confident communicator across all levels of the organisation
  • Financial management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • PC proficient, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent Excel skills
  • Self-motivated, driven and results oriented
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
