My Client are recruiting for an EICA/Electrical Supervisor in the Water Sector
Location - Around the Lincoln/East Anglian region - Hybrid working with Site visits
JOB PURPOSE: To supervise electrical installation of equipment on site and assist in commissioning of the installed equipment along with the installers and client.
Generation of inspection and test sheets for all installed items and undertake checks to ensure compliance with the design of the plant.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors
- Ensure compliance with Company Electrical Safety Rules and The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
- Check that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out and that all relevant HS&E documents are correctly recorded when received and that they are the latest version.
- Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with Design Documents, Clients Standards, Method Statements and Work Instructions from the Project Manager
- Record the progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required
- Inspect and record incoming materials and their documentation
- Assist in planning & Co-ordination on site
- Assist Commissioning Engineer with Functional Testing of installed equipment
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A electrical, instrumentation / control biased education
- Degree / HND / HNC preferred
- Knowledge of electrical proprietary software but not essential
- Ability to carry out hand calculations
- Usage of Document Management Systems (ProjectWise or other) but not essential
- Be able to communicate effectively regarding matters of a technical nature to customers
- Driving license
- Proven good all round knowledge of IT applications
