Are you an experienced IT Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in the police industry? Do you pride yourself on providing excellent technical support and expertise to users? Our client, a police organisation, is looking for an ICT Technician to join their team on a temporary basis.

As an ICT Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all users receive timely and efficient support for their IT issues. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving operational issues, providing advice and guidance on IT systems and services, and contributing to the management of various IT equipment and software.

HAVE YOU BEEN A RESIDENT OF THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS? THIS IS THE REQUIREMENT FOR THE POLICE VETTING TO TAKE PLACE.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide detailed advice and guidance to users on the effective use of IT systems, products, and services.
Manage endpoints using technologies such as InTune, SCCM, Knox, and Azure-based administration.
Support the management of the Airwave estate using Radio Manager.
Contribute to the management of the Windows 10 OS lifecycle, including application testing and security device control.
Assist with the deployment of VOIP telephony, laptops, mobiles, and hardware refresh technology.
Ensure documentation is up to date, including asset registers and technical documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver innovative and creative solutions to IT issues.
Provide technical knowledge and support for the implementation of projects.
Participate in the IT out of hours on-call service rota.

Requirements:

A Level or equivalent qualification in a technology discipline (Desirable).
Experience in providing support roles within a Policing environment (Desirable).
Experience of using Intune for mobile device management (Desirable).
Working knowledge of VOIP technology (Desirable).
Good analytical skills for problem-solving.
Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications (Win10, O365).
Detailed knowledge of endpoint management.
Knowledge of network topologies relating to WAN/LAN.
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
