We are currently seeking a Night Shift Engineering Team Leader to join a dynamic and growing team. This role involves leading and developing a team of engineers, ensuring the maintenance and performance of machinery, and driving continuous improvement within the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the night shift engineering team, ensuring effective maintenance and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure machinery is kept in optimal condition.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to reduce breakdowns and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and company policies.
  • Support and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns and log all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in audits and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a multi-skilled engineer, ideally in food manufacturing.
  • Previous team leadership or management experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills, with the ability to read and modify technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS and other relevant software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
