Are you a compassionate SEND Support Assistant dedicated to making a difference in a child's learning journey?

We are looking for a skilled individual to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with specific needs, including cognitive delays, personal care, and physical support requirements. This role is based in a welcoming primary school in Lincoln, LN5, starting in December.



What We Need from You:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with cognitive delays and additional needs.
  • Proficiency in personal care and physical support within an educational setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to ensure the pupil feels safe and valued.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to create tailored strategies for pupil support.
  • A proactive attitude to foster independence and engagement in learning.


What You'll Do:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil, focusing on their unique needs and learning objectives (current learning level of a Year 1 pupil).
  • Assist with personal care tasks, maintaining dignity and comfort.
  • Support the pupil's access to the curriculum and active participation in classroom activities.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Create an inclusive, engaging, and positive learning environment.
