Astute's Power team is partnering with a large Energy company to recruit a Mechanical Technician for its site near Ashington, Northumberland.
The Mechanical Technician role comes with a starting salary of 47,000 + a great benefits package including private medical.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Engineer you will:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment.
- Carry out fault-finding and rectify problems.
- Work to site safety rules and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
- Assist with scheduling outage activities as required.
- Update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Develop and implement procedures, instructions, risk assessments and method statements.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A time-serviced apprenticeship (NVQ level 3 / EITB) in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
- HNC in relevant subject (desirable)
- IOSH certificate (desirable)
- Ability to work a continental shift rotation (days & nights)
Personal skills
The Mechanical Technician role would suit someone who has:

Salary and benefits of the Mechanical Engineer:
- Starting salary of 47,760
- Salary to rise to 51,900 after probation
