Science Tutor - Oldham
We are specifically working with a 'Good' secondary school in Oldham looking for a Science Tutor, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to join them helping students in intervention classes for Science key stage 3 & 4 from September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.
You will be required to become fully immersed in the department, attend departmental meetings. As well as helping students in small groups to progress their Science ability, this may also include helping in lessons themselves. You may have to adapt your teaching to the students in front of you by helping them understand difficult aspects of Maths.
The opportunity is to work at a school that has 'Good' behaviour and attitudes, which means students behave well in lesson and around the school site. Teachers' expectations of pupils' behaviour and achievements are high. There are also wide opportunities for students to engage in the local community and in the school life.

Minimum rate of pay - from 100 per day.
Hours - 11:00 - 5pm
Experience, Training and qualifications:
- Secondary School experience or evidence of working with children
- Degree or High A-Level in Science
- GCSE English and Maths grade 'C' or '4' & above
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)
- Up to date Prevent training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)
- Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however training can be provided)
To be eligible you must have/be:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide a minimum of two references covering the last 2 years.
