Based in Swadlincote

Duties of a Health and Safety Manager

  • Following processes and procedures for all staff
  • Actively going on the shop floor
  • Implementing systems
  • Make sure that all the staff are following protocol, training and running tool box talks
  • Reviewing the safety of the site and ensuring any issues are actioned and resolved
  • Maintaining a safe work place
  • Ensure that the site meets all legal expectations.
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Investigate accidents / recommend solutions to the issues

Experience required for a Health and Safety Manager

  • Hands on approach / Proven Experience of a Health and Safety Managers role
  • Nebosh Qualified
  • Make regular inspections onto the shop floor
  • A background in quality and environmental experience would be an advantage
  • An involvement in audits
  • Staff training and development
  • A can do approach to work - look for a solution to the problem and see it through
  • Good interpersonal skills / communication skills at all levels
  • Dealing with the facilities on site - to ensure they are serviced and scheduled
  • Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies

Days Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

Based in the Swadlincote area

40k to 45k per annum
