My client, a fantastic PE backed business on the outskirts of Worcester Park are currently recruiting for a interim Management Accountant.

Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office - Monday-Friday - Car Park On Site! - 37.5 hours a week -

Job Duties:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for stakeholders.

General Ledger & Cost Management:

  • Oversee the general ledger and ensure proper journal entries.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closings.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyse costs and variances to identify efficiency opportunities.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and financial plans.
  • Support forecasting to aid in strategic decision-making.

Cash Flow & Audit Support:

  • Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring smooth financial reviews.

Tax & Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate tax reporting, including VAT and corporation tax filings.
  • Stay updated on tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Process Improvement & Ad-Hoc Projects:

  • Lead financial projects, system improvements, and process enhancements.

What You Need to Succeed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACCA, CIMA, or ACA Part Qualified or Finalist ideal but not essential.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (SAGE Intaact experience is ideal).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with budgeting/forecasting tools.
  • Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting standards.
