Macildowie Finance is proud to be partnering with a well-established business in Worcester, with a turnover of approximately £10 million, to recruit a Head of Finance.

This company is known for its exceptional customer service and high-quality products, and they're seeking a forward-thinking finance professional who is looking to grow and evolve with the business over the long term.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be the senior-most finance professional in the organisation. You'll gain exposure across all areas of this dynamic and fast-paced business, playing a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, driving profitability, and supporting critical strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Finance Team.Take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to Directors and the wider business.Lead the preparation of statutory returns including VAT submissions.Support business planning and scenario modelling to inform operational and strategic decisions.Manage cost centres, produce departmental cost analysis, and challenge spending with a focus on identifying efficiency opportunities and improving performance.Prepare and present key performance metrics to senior operational stakeholders.Own and lead the financial planning cycle, including budgeting and forecasting.About You:To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be:Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).Highly proficient in Excel, with strong working knowledge of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and IF formulas.A confident communicator, experienced in working closely with senior operational stakeholders.A proven leader with prior people management experience.Naturally inquisitive and proactive, with a drive to identify and resolve cost-related issues.A true SME all-rounder, with experience across Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, FP&A, and Statutory Reporting.Experience using Business Central ERP would be a distinct advantage.
