Greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Management Accountant to work with a small, growing group of businesses based in Worcester.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Parent Company

  • Deliver complete financial reports within 5 calendar days of month-end, adhering to company processes.

  • Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring effective payment controls.

  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation schedules and updates.

  • Oversee HMRC reporting, including VAT returns.

  • Oversee Irish Revenue reporting, such as VAT returns and Intrastat.

  • Perform full balance sheet support, including reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.

  • Analyse monthly gross margins and provide insights for performance improvement.

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for submission to the Parent Company.

  • Manage UK and Irish payroll and pensions (in coordination with external providers).

  • Maintain and optimise the Opera accounting software.

  • Oversee the integration and accuracy of Sales Orders and Purchase Orders exported from Microsoft Dynamics CRM into Opera.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.

  • Support year-end statutory accounts and audit processes with external accountants/auditors.

  • Provide other support to the finance team as required.

Skills, Requirements, Qualifications

  • Qualified/ finalist or QBE

  • Experience working in SME businesses

  • Experience working with Opera

  • Experience working with inventory/ stock

  • Strong Excel skills
