Senior Finance Officer
- Annual Salary: £56,000 to £59,000
- Location: Worcester
- Job Type: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week
Reed Accountancy is looking for a dedicated Senior Finance Officer to manage and oversee the operational finance activities for our public sector client. This role requires a professional who can provide proactive and effective financial management, planning, and value for money advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of the annual revenue budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with senior finance teams to develop and refine the budget.
- Offer operational financial support to achieve desired outcomes and objectives.
- Oversee operational financial reporting, providing clear financial advice and explanations during senior staff meetings.
- Assist in the preparation and audit of annual accounts, offering expert financial advice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Full CCAB qualification.
- Significant experience in a professional accounting environment, preferably within a large organisation, with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Experience or understanding of working in a politically scrutinised environment.
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies with senior leadership.
