Our client, a highly-regarded care home in Worcester, is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join their dedicated kitchen team.
In this key role, you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for residents, ensuring that dietary requirements and nutritional needs are met.
An enhanced DBS certificate dated in the last 12 months and a full UK Driving licence is needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including menu planning and food preparation.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including starters, mains, desserts, and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
- Order and receive deliveries as required.
- Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment.
- Excellent cooking skills with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for providing high-quality food.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience working within a care home environment.
- NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent.
