Jonathan Lee Recruitment are working with a Software Testing organisation who produce software to automate the testing of a portfolio of internal systems and products. They are looking to hire a Cloud Systems Engineer to join their team. This is a predominantly remote role working closely with a remote team, the business do get together at their Worcester HQ for team meetings, company events / activities. For this reason they are looking to hire a candidate located within an hour travel to Worcester.

The Cloud Systems Engineer role will focus on migrating the clients on premises IT infrastructure to cloud-based servers, supporting back-office systems. Aswell as delivery of the software products developed and deployed in the cloud both for development purposes and for customer use on a SaaS basis.

They are looking to bring in an experienced Cloud engineer to work in a stand alone role to deliver cloud projects, the main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Administration of servers and Kubernetes orchestrated containerised software deployments in Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
  • Administration of our Microsoft Azure DevOps development environment.
  • Linux server provisioning and support.
  • VMware vSphere infrastructure support – configuration, VM provisioning, virtual networks, templates, SANs.
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration – users and groups administration in AD, OS updates, DNS, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting.

To be considered as a suitable candidate for this role we are looking for as much as the below to be shown in a CV profile across Qualifications and Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualifications and experience
  • Experience of cloud infrastructures, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD, SaaS and related technologies.
  • Experience of Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Knowledge of networking, routing, switches, VPNs, proxy servers.
  • Comprehensive grasp of IT security principles.
