Senior Ecologist - Lead Projects & Mentor Team
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £35k-£38k + benefits
Full-time, permanent role
We're looking for an experienced Ecologist to lead projects and mentor junior staff in a well-established consultancy with over 35 years of experience.
The Role:
- Lead botanical and protected species surveys (GCN, Bats, Badgers, Dormice, Reptiles)
- Manage projects from start to finish, liaising with clients and statutory bodies
- Produce reports (Ecological Assessments, EIAs)
- Mentor junior staff and work with DEFRA Metrics
What You'll Need:
- Strong botanical skills (UKHab/NVC)
- Experience in protected species surveys (Protected Species Licences)
- Project management experience
- Full driving licence
