Location: Worcester
Salary: £40,000 - £41,000 + Shift Allowance
Additional Benefits: 34 Days Holiday + Excellent Overtime Scheme
Training Provided: On Various OEM Equipment
Shift Pattern: Double Days, Monday – Friday (37.5 Hours per Week)
Overtime Pay: 1.5x and Double Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a large and well-established UK business based in Worcester. Our client, a global manufacturing group, is expanding due to several new contracts and is urgently seeking to add Electrical Maintenance Engineers to their team.

Role Overview - Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
In this role, you will work in a medium to heavy industrial environment, providing essential reactive and planned maintenance on production equipment across all facilities. You will be encouraged to contribute to continuous improvement efforts and take ownership of projects as your career grows within the company. The position will be split between 70% reactive maintenance and 30% planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out fault finding and maintenance on both mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Replace components like-for-like on large industrial machinery.
- Diagnose electrical faults on factory equipment, including PLC fault finding at the input/output level.
- Follow weekly and monthly PPM schedules when required.
- Work collaboratively as part of a 12-man maintenance team.
- Take ownership of specific project work and drive improvements in production processes.
Essentials:
- Apprenticeship and relevant qualifications (open to mechanically or electrically qualified candidates).
- Proven engineering experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills, particularly in breakdown maintenance.
- Experience in preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of health & safety standards and safe systems of work.
