Job Title: Finance Manager / Management Accountant

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee high-level bookkeeping and payroll duties, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. The role requires expertise in generating Management Information (MI) reports using Xero accounting software, preparing data for the Finance Director to present at board meetings. A strong understanding of digital financial applications, including Fathom and Telleroo, is essential to streamline operations and enhance financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the company’s bookkeeping processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Handle full payroll processing, including PAYE, pension contributions, and compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Generate comprehensive MI reports from Xero, providing clear financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Support the Finance Director in preparing financial reports and board presentations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Utilize digital financial applications such as Fathom and Telleroo to enhance reporting, cash flow management, and payment processing.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and drive efficiency.
- Provide financial insights to support business strategy and growth.
Skills & Experience Required:
- AAT Level 4 Qualification is desirable
- Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally as a Finance Manager or similar position.
- Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software, with the ability to extract and analyze financial data.
- Experience with digital finance applications such as Fathom and Telleroo.
- In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Knowledge of UK financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
