The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of fire door installers, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of fire door installation projects. This is a hands-on role that involves organizing the daily tasks of installers, conducting quality inspections, and managing materials and logistics.
Key Responsibilities for the fire door working forman
- Supervise and coordinate a team of fire door installers, assigning tasks based on skill sets and project requirements.
- Perform on-site quality inspections to ensure all installations meet safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure all materials are organized and available for the team, ensuring smooth workflows and preventing delays.
- Coordinate logistics, including van usage, fuel card management, and transportation of materials.
- Maintain records of daily activities, including installation progress, quality checks, and any issues.
- Act as the point of contact for any site-related queries, liaising with clients and other contractors when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
Key Requirements for the fire door working forman
- Proven experience as a Fire Door Installer or Foreman in the construction industry.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of fire door installation standards and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety.
- Ability to handle logistics, including managing materials
- Full UK Driving License.
