About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Client Success Team Lead to join a leading business in the employee benefits and B2B sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in multi-channel B2B sales, relationship management, and team leadership.

Based in the West Midlands, this role will involve managing a high-performing team to drive sales, maximise client engagement, and ensure exceptional service delivery. You'll be responsible for delivering on KPIs, managing key accounts, and leading your team through new business generation, client retention, and complex negotiations.

As the Client Success Team Lead, you'll be tasked with ensuring the growth and success of your team and client base, working across both direct clients and third-party partners. You will drive the implementation of the Client Success Strategy and support the team in achieving their sales targets, all while ensuring the delivery of best-in-class customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Partnership & Client Success Managers, fostering a culture of success, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Lead the team to exceed KPIs focused on revenue, profitability, client retention, account growth, new business acquisition, and client satisfaction (NPS).
  • Account & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong senior relationships with clients and sales partners, acting as the main point of escalation for key accounts.
  • Client Success: Project manage the B2B sales funnel for your team, overseeing lead generation, product cross-selling, client onboarding, contract renewals, and client growth strategies.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Take the lead in complex, multi-million-pound contract negotiations, ensuring commercial terms align with business objectives.
  • Team Development: Develop the skills and capabilities of your team through coaching, training, and leadership to enable them to meet and exceed their targets.
  • Business Development: Drive new business opportunities through innovative lead generation strategies, ensuring the team targets new and untapped audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and pricing teams to ensure effective execution of campaigns, product offerings, and client engagement.
  • Presentation & Networking: Confidently present to C-suite executives, represent the business at industry events, and expand your network to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Continuous Improvement: Embrace change, challenge the status quo, and continuously seek innovative solutions to improve processes, efficiency, and productivity.

Skills & Experience:

  • Leadership & Line Management: At least 5+ years of experience in managing a multi-channel B2B sales team (4+ direct reports).
  • Sales & Business Development: Strong experience in driving sales and new business acquisition, with a track record of meeting/exceeding KPIs.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Confident in handling complex contract negotiations, including pricing, terms, and service level agreements.
  • Relationship Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain senior client relationships and manage escalations.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of profitability, pipeline management, and budget forecasting.
  • CRM Expertise: Proficient in Dynamics CRM or similar systems, with the ability to utilise CRM data for client engagement and pipeline management.
  • Presentation & Communication: Capable of presenting at senior levels, both internally and externally, with strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Creative Thinking: Ability to think outside the box, developing new strategies and approaches to improve sales performance and customer engagement.
  • Personal Attributes: Enthusiastic, passionate, and transparent. Comfortable in challenging situations and driven by results.
