A leading B2C business are on the lookout for a visionary individual to join an involving Technology Senior Leadership Team as the Director of Data.

In this pivotal role as Director of Data you will leverage your extensive experience in delivering transformational change in data and analytics within complex environments, ideally in B2C sectors such as retail or consumer goods. Your clear, logical, and pragmatic approach to data transformation will be crucial as you provide inspirational leadership across all management levels, right up to the C-suite.

Director of Data Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Strategy: Develop and deliver the organisation's Data Strategy, ensuring high-quality data practices.
  • Programmatic Delivery: Implement the Data Strategy through a transparent, staged process.
  • Modern Tools and Practices: Enhance investments in modern data and analytics tools.
  • Data Migration: Oversee data migration services for various projects and acquisitions.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a team of 8-10 data professionals.
  • Supplier Management: Engage and manage external suppliers to ensure effective delivery.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships
  • Community of Practice: Foster a Data and Analytics Community of Practice.
  • Special Projects: Lead special programs and projects aligned with organisational values.
  • AI Deployment: Guide the integration of artificial intelligence into our operations.

Director of Data Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in strategic development at the executive level.
  • Extensive experience in data quality improvement and governance.
  • Strong background in managing technology teams in large, complex organisations.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to achieve results.
  • Expertise in developing solutions that align with business strategies.
  • Experience with enterprise-grade data and analytic solutions.
