Gleeson has been partnered with a Business looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join a dynamic and forward thinking company. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for leading a dedicated team, optimising warehouse performance, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation. This role offers a unique chance to be part of a company that values its employees and fosters a collaborative work environment.Responsibilities Included:

  • Organise staff recruitment and training while monitoring their performance and progress.
  • Inspire, organise, and encourage teamwork to meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets.
  • Set and manage KPIs in agreement with the Operations Director.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Services Department to enhance service levels continually.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service.
  • Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to meet customer demands and address inventory-related issues.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions for the Warehouse Team.
  • Maintain and improve a safe working environment, ensuring timely completion of accident investigations and any required actions.
  • Ensure team compliance with Health & Safety standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
  • Manage the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Handle internal and external customer requirements efficiently.
  • Take responsibility for stock control management.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies.
  • Support daily cycle counting and year-end stock counts.
  • Optimise space and mechanical handling equipment to meet quality, budgetary, and environmental objectives.
  • Regularly review warehouse layout to maximise efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce operational costs, such as optimising storage, work flows, and minimising waste.
  • Liaise with transport companies and meet regularly with selected partners.
  • Negotiate competitive transport rates that provide the best value for money.

Skills and Attributes:

  • 3Yr +Warehouse Operations Experience ( Goods In & Out Inventory Management)
  • P&L Management
  • Experience of Implementation of continuous improvement (CI) and KPI's Management.
  • WMS systems Experience
  • NEBOSH / IOSH / CILT
  • Project Management Experience
