Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement)
  • Design and provide drawings for systems and components that meet needs and requirements.
  • Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
  • Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
  • Supports the Production and Commissioning Departments during equipment build and installation.
  • Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Test and evaluate theoretical designs
  • Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
  • Evaluate final product's overall performance, reliability and safety
  • Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
  • Prepare product reports and documentation including but not limited to operational manuals, produce specifications, etc.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Profile

Successful Candidate

  • Working experience with product lifecycle management, finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Desirable skills, experience, and competence
  • Preferably 5 years proven working experience in mechanical engineering
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering and computer-aided manufacturing
  • Experience with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools. Preferably Solid Works (e.g., AutoCAD or other)
  • Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools
  • Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge
  • Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
