Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement)
- Design and provide drawings for systems and components that meet needs and requirements.
- Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
- Supports the Production and Commissioning Departments during equipment build and installation.
- Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Test and evaluate theoretical designs
- Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
- Evaluate final product's overall performance, reliability and safety
- Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
- Prepare product reports and documentation including but not limited to operational manuals, produce specifications, etc.
- Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Profile
Successful Candidate
- Working experience with product lifecycle management, finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Strong technical writing skills
- Desirable skills, experience, and competence
- Preferably 5 years proven working experience in mechanical engineering
- Manufacturing experience
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering and computer-aided manufacturing
- Experience with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools. Preferably Solid Works (e.g., AutoCAD or other)
- Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools
- Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
